Abstract Landscapes

The Abstract Landscape series is a visual representation of the mind attempting to portray the solid evidence of the internal world. The works are inspired by the zen practice of simplicity and explore a meditative journey into inner space. In these works, I release pieces of memory, messages, and emotion through an aesthetic exercise in free association photography employing reductionism as well as phenomenological light and perception to evoke familiar yet unknowable landscapes.

Abstract Landscapes

The Abstract Landscape series is a body of lyrical photographs that are distant memories of my motherland, England, and my travels around the world. They are also a reflection of my current home in Southwest USA. I grew up in England surrounded by water and since 2003, I have lived in the high deserts of landlocked New Mexico.
